As soon as students enter the program, we asses their career interests, education and skill levels, as well as their financial, child care, and transportation situations. Then we work with them to develop an individual career path with specific goals and benchmarks along the way.
And it doesn't matter what a person's education or skill level currently is. While each career pathway begins with adult education and offers a range of employment positions from entry level and up, a student can enter the path at any point that best fits their education and skill level.
Our pathways are developed to let students work while pursuing their education, and they can enter and exit the pathway as their situations change. At each stage, Southern Good Faith Fund works with students to find and retain employment or enroll in their next level of college.
We also work with students to overcome barriers that could prevent them from staying on the path or finding and retaining employment.
