Asset Builders
Participants enrolled in the Asset Builders Program must attend economic literacy classes before making their asset purchase. The classes include:
- Money Management - understanding and managing credit, budgeting and record keeping
- Spending as a Habit; Saving as a Goal - the importance of saving, ways to save, understanding spending habits and learning the difference between wants and needs
- Financial Services - exposure to different bank services and how to use them appropriately, developing a relationship with a bank, writing checks and using a debit card
- Credit Management; Solving Debt Problems - the importance of maintaining and repairing credit
- Renting, Leasing or Buying - exploring different means of financing for needed or wanted items
- Asset-Specific Training - Homeownership, small business or higher education
Our IDA Savers' Club meets monthly to provide further information about savings and financial planning.
Information sessions are held regularly to recruit participants.

Career Pathways
Career Pathways currently offers certified nurse assistant training through an eight-week course that provides 240 hours of instruction, including four weeks of clinical experience in local hospitals and nursing homes.
