ARHealthNetworks is a new insurance program designed to help qualified small businesses with low-income workers provide an affordable package of health care benefits to their employees.

Over 378,000 Arkansans between the ages of 19 and 64 do not have health insurance. One of the primary reasons employers are not offering coverage is high premium costs. ARHealthNetworks is a unique partnership between state and federal government, employers and families, designed to provide needed health coverage for low income employees at an affordable price.

Here are a few details:

• Available to businesses with 2 to 500 employees who have not offered a group health plan in the past 12 months or longer.
• Only available to working Arkansans through qualified employers.
• Not available as an individual plan.
