Phillip N. Baldwin
President and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Baldwin is President and Chief Executive Officer of Southern Bancorp, a $600 million development bank holding company that operates three development banks and three non-profit organizations in Arkansas and Mississippi.
Mr. Baldwin currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, the United Way of America Board of Trustees - where he is chairman of the finance committee and treasurer, Arkansas Capital Corporation, Ouachita Baptist University, the Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce, and the Arkansas Center for Health Improvement.
In 2007, Mr. Baldwin was appointed by Governor Beebe to serve on the Governor’s Roundtable on Health Care. Also in 2007 he received the United States Small Business Administration District Directors Special Award for Entrepreneurial Leadership and was named Arkansas Economic Development Volunteer of the Year by the Economic Developers of Arkansas.
Mr. Baldwin has over 28 years of experience in banking, beginning his career in the banking services group of Ernst and Young. He is a certified public accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Arkansas Society of Certified Public Accountants.Mississippi. |

Jerry Damerow
CFO of InterveXion Therapuetics
Jerry Damerow served as Associate Director of UAMS BioVentures; as a Managing Partner for Ernst & Young operations in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and Southeast Asia; and as a management consultant for early stage businesses. Damerow’s civic and professional involvement includes serving as a member and past director of the Little Rock Rotary Club; as a University of Arkansas at Little Rock Business Advisory Council member; and as treasurer of the Piedmont Neighborhood Association.

Herman Davenport
President and Chief Executive Officer of Davenport Group
Herman Davenport served as community affairs officer for the Levi Strauss Foundation, providing development funding to low-wealth communities and neighborhoods. Mr. Davenport, an advocate for economic development, serves on the board of the Rural Community Assistance Program. He joined Southern's Board in 1990. |

John Edwards
Attorney, Anible & Edwards
John Edwards was born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, and spent much of his childhood in Lonoke County, Arkansas, where he was an Eagle Scout. He attended public schools in Arkansas, including the University of Central Arkansas, and the Bowen School of Law at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, obtaining his Juris Doctor degree in 1988. |

Kim Evans
Research Associate and Nonprofit Coordinator at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock Institute of Government
Kim Evans coordinates the Nonprofit Management Graduate Certificate Program and directs the UALR Center for Nonprofit Organizations. Her previous experience includes serving as a Project Manager for the Public Education Foundation of Little Rock; an Assistant Attorney General in the Arkansas Attorney General’s Civil Division; and as a Law Clerk for the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Arkansas, and for the Arkansas Court of Appeals. Evans serves on the United Way Heart of Arkansas Board of Directors; as a member of various St. Vincent Health System boards, including the Board of Directors, Women’s Health Advisory Board and Foundation Board; and as a member of the Junior League of Little Rock.

Elizabeth Glasbrenner
Vice President of Administration of Smiley Technologies, Inc
Elizabeth Glasbrenner grew up in Little Rock and attended historic Central High School, then attended Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. She served as special events coordinator for the National Sports Center for the Disable and as associate development officer for the Carolinas Healthcare Foundation before being named vice president of Smiley Investment Company in 2000. Ms. Glasbrenner is currently vice president of administration for Smiley Technologies, Inc. in Little Rock. |

Dorothy Stuck
Retired Civic Leader and Business Woman
Dorothy Stuck is a retired civic leader and business woman. Mrs. Stuck and her husband owned three eastern Arkansas newspapers for 20 years and she edited the Marked Tree Tribune. She served nine years as Director of the 5-state Southwestern Regional Office for Civil Rights of the Department of Health Education and Welfare and was given its highest award, the Distinguished Service Award. |

Freddye Webb-Petett
Assistant Professor of Leadership at the University of Arkansas’ Clinton School of Public Service
Freddye Petett was an Assistant Professor of Leadership and Philanthropy at the Clinton School. She also worked at the W.K. Kellogg Foundation in 2005. Prior to that, Ms. Petett directed the Kellogg International Leadership Program and was the administrator of Oregon’s Adult and Family Services Department. She earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Portland State University, and has carried out doctoral studies in Sociology at the Union Institute, Cincinnati, Ohio.
